Upon retiring from graphic design in 2023, I made a vow to continue on a creative path, starting with a few drawing courses, evolving into painting (acrylics), and then to encaustics, which now consumes me. I spend the majority of my time working in this wonderful medium, watching the wax take on a life of its own when heat is applied, and witnessing the tactile qualities emerge as the material cools and solidifies. I feel a deep personal relationship with encaustics as I continue working with the material, and trusting in the outcomes it offers.
