Blockfort is pleased to host the exhibition "a gilding denial", featuring the work of artist Brian Reaume. 

Brian uses found materials to construct a discussion around the ideas of domestication, desire, need, and social segregation. In this recent work, he explores the worldwide refugee crisis and America's detachment from the very real situations surrounding those refugees. His work is thoughtful and metaphorical, with an extreme focus on material and how it effects the conversation. The exhibition will include installations, as well as photographs of off-site installations created in upstate Michigan, where he currently works.
