Barter Show is a concept exhibition where artists put their artwork up for sale, but buyers cannot use money to buy it. The idea is to consider alternate forms of payment by offering trades to artists, forcing buyers to consider the value of what they are purchasing.

HOW IT WORKS

The exhibition will be on view for two days.
The opening reception will be on Friday, February 23rd from 6-8pm
Bid sheets will be placed next to each piece.
Buyers will have the opportunity to make offers for the pieces and talk with the artists about what they might want in exchange.
Saturday, February 24th, from 12-5pm the gallery will remain open for continued bidding.
On Sunday, February 25th, artists are asked to return, look through offers, and choose one that they would like to exchange for their work.
Introductions between barter partners will be made that Sunday.
