We are excited to announce an open call for artists to submit works celebrating the bold, dynamic, and unforgettable styles of 90’s Golden Age Comic Books! If you're inspired by or just love the golden age comic book art from the iconic styles of legends like Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, and my sister’s favorite Sharon Knettel who illustrated Jem and the Holograms, we want to see your interpretation of superhero art through the lens of the of 90’s comics.
Event Highlights:
Exhibit Rooms: Our gallery will showcase a variety of comic book art from different mediums, spotlighting your unique vision of 90’s-inspired superhero aesthetics.
Dance Party: Celebrate the spirit of the era with a high-energy dance floor where a DJ spins nothing but 90’s hits—from hip-hop, R&B, rock, to pop!
Dress Up: Come dressed as your favorite superhero, and join in the fun as we transport you back to the colorful world of 90s comic books!

Call for Entries
This is a multi-disciplinary call—whether you create striking comic book illustrations, sculptural works, ceramics, or other forms of visual art, even photography we welcome your submissions! We’re looking for pieces that channel the energy, drama, and visual flair that defined the 90’s comic book era, from larger-than-life heroes to edgy, stylized storytelling.
Submissions should reflect:
Superhero themes in original 1990’s comic book style
Colors must be original colors used in the 1990’s comic books
The exaggerated line work and dynamic composition found in the 90’s style
Bold colors, powerful poses, and imaginative designs
