Opening Reception: June 6, 6-9pm

Blockfort welcomes artist Lauren Mitro to our flex space to create a site specific installation that uses action painting and photographic materials to illuminate her experiences discovering the western landscape. The installation will be on view for a short period and will coincide with the opening of the June exhibition, "The Devil's Mirage, work by Audrey Galat".

From the artist: “The initial intent for this exhibition was in response to Audrey Galat’s performance and the idea of my own interpretation of The Devil’s Mirage. It quickly became a study of the abstraction of photos taken out West, exploring the psyche of the American road trip. This exhibition aims to capture the mysticism of the West and the energetic curiosity that ensues through painting and process.“
