Ira Velasco Tecson

Ira Tecson is a Columbus based artist who, after graduating from OSU with a BFA in Sculpture, had a series of odd jobs ranging from mascot and accessories maker, car interior pattern maker and dental processor.  She used the skills she learned over the course of the years to head Props and Scenic for Otherworld, an interactive art exhibit,  where she was a part of since its start in 2018 until 2024.

Currently, Ira is working a side project called Tuft Itties.  They hand make a variety of home goods such as tentacle jewelry holders (sculpted with 3D software and then 3D printed), tufted mirrors, coasters, and more. A portion of Boobie rugs go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
