Panagiota Kourniotis

Panagiota is a born and raised New Englander and first-generation Greek American, with roots in Crete and the Peloponnese. Growing up she was surrounded by Greek tradition and stories and was influenced by Byzantine iconographers in her family. Her work weaves together mythology, women’s history, and Mediterranean hues to explore how storytelling and symbolism shape memory, connection, and the Greek American identity.

She holds a BFA in Illustration and Minor in Art History, and her exhibition/festival history can be viewed on her website. When not creating art she is working within exhibition coordination and arts marketing.
